Mission Update #2

We are….well… it is a bit difficult to describe how we feel about what happened...stunned comes to mind; excited? no…thrilled is closer but still an inadequate word; Blessed by GOD beyond measure, yes; and overwhelmed with the incredible generosity of a very good man who was able to see, in less than one minute, how critical his donation was to our mission. And… so many more feelings that I am simply unable to put into words.

By now you must now be asking yourselves; “What is he talking about?!”

The owner of Skylane Systems has donated an airplane to AWI for use in our mission to rescue child sex slaves and for counter poaching operations in the Central African Republic (C.A.R)~!!! Thank you Tracy for your very generous donation~!!!!!

Super Breezy, has Super Cub wings, tail and main gear legs;

It also has 31" Airstreak tires and an IO-360, 200 HP engine

And get a load of this. We needed to find a Certified Aircraft Appraiser to appraise the airplane so that the donor could get a tax deduction for his very generous donation. Being that it is near Christmas we knew it would be a challenge to get it done before the donor went on vacation on 21 December…and the appraisal absolutely had to be done by then. We found two certified appraisers in the Seattle area, who were both already overbooked…way overbooked. When Mike--who is also an airline pilot--found out what we were going to use the airplane for, he marked off a flight so that he could make enough time in his packed schedule to do the appraisal~!! Thank you Mike for going the second mile~!!!

The airplane gives us the ability to employ a multi-role aircraft in our mission: Rescuing child sex slaves, for counter poaching operations, to help provide security for the 12 villages nearest to our FOB, to provide the local villagers with life saving emergency medical treatment and MEDIVAC flights to the nearest hospital in the capital city of Bangui, as an excellent observation platform for wildlife surveys, and for a photography platform for our upcoming film series by Emmy Award winning producer Richard Cooper.

"Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless, maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” Psalm 82:3

Right now we are raising $11,500 to make a few necessary modifications to the airplane so that it will be more mission capable for our area of operation: Install a TK1 suspension system on the main landing gear; install a heavy duty nose fork with a larger 8:50 front tire; and install an HF radio for long range communications with our Forward Operating Base (FOB).

Please view our crowd funding page and make a tax deductible donation there, or use the PayPal button on the right of this post. (A PayPal account is NOT required). By you teaming up with us we can save countless lives and stop the wholesale slaughter of elephants in the Central African Republic.

Your tax deductible donation in any amount will help: https://www.youcaring.com/africanwildlifeinitiative-1048145

For a tax deductible donations of $500 or more we will send you this beautiful 3-D printed T shirt (with AWI's logo on the back) to proudly wear showing your support for our mission in the C.A.R.!!

So....we now have an airplane.

The Praise be to GOD!!!!
